About the event
From tangos to Bulgarian dance rhythms, this unusual combination inspired classical composers with its folky, often raucous sound. Programme to include Stravinsky’s ‘A soldier’s tale’ and Bartók’s ‘Contrasts’ (which requires a quick violin swap in the middle) as well as Ravel's G major violin sonata.
